About Thurlow Small Architecture
Founded in 2001 by Maia Small and Andrew Thurlow, Thurlow Small Architecture is an architecture and urban design services firm located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. We practice the emerging discipline of landscape urbanism, a philosophy that buildings, landscapes, transportation, and public space are systems must work together as an ecology to make a beautiful, healthy, sustainable urban environment. For this project, we have organized a unique set of consultants with both design and technical expertise to create a strong and innovative team that offers:

L + A Landscape Architecture (L+A)
Founded in 2000 by Ron Henderson, L + A Landscape Architecture is a landscape architecture office located Providence, Rhode Island that works both in New England and internationally. L + A has expertise in both private and public work, including transportation-related projects.
McMahon Associates (McM)
McMahon Associates is a transportation engineering firm established in 1976 that currently has ten offices in the East Coast area. McM has worked with many public and private sector clients and has consequently become knowledgeable of and sensitive to issues related to each sector’s responsibilities and the need for effective planning and engineering of transportation infrastructure to accommodate growth and safety.
Horsley Witten Group (HW)
Incorporated in 1988, Horsley Witten Group is a full-service environmental science and engineering firm with offices located in Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island. The firm consists of a professional staff of over thirty engineers, surveyors, hydrologists, wetlands and marine scientists, geologists, computer modelers, land use planners, and environmental analysts. Among many areas of site engineering expertise, HW specializes in providing consulting services in zoning and land use regulation.
Highchair designhaus (HCd)
Highchair designhaus is a print and web design firm in Pawtucket, Rode Island boasting big ideas for small clients. Specialities include all methods of print and online media, including signage for urban environments.
